Household, Socioeconomic and Local (HSL) feedback survey of local government users of the Labour Force Survey (LFS) and Annual Population Survey (APS)

Overview

Welcome and thank you for taking part in this feedback exercise. The exercise is live for seven weeks, from 17 August until midnight on 2 October 2026. 

We are gathering insights on how local government use the Labour Force Survey (LFS) and Annual Population Survey (APS), including the data and outputs you rely on for your statutory reporting requirements. 

Your input is important to us as it will help us understand current usage, identify your needs, and assess any potential issues as we move towards the Transformed Labour Force Survey (TLFS). 

This feedback exercise will take around 1 hour to complete, however in most cases it will require collaboration across your organisation to gather the required information. To help facilitate multiple people responding to the exercise, we have included a Word copy.
